Aim and Contents

Field Exercise on Frontier Issues (FEFI) was the field-based exercise initiated by student of GPSS-GLI. The present project was one of FEFIs and focused on citizen’s participation in sustainability at the local level in Sweden and Denmark. A team of 11 students and five facilitators from GPSS-GLI visited four cities and an island in Denmark and Sweden, namely, Copenhagen, Malmo, Lund, Aarhus and Samso Island. The team visited a number of sustainability-oriented projects which were under five sub-topics; life style, agriculture, waste management, energy and sustainable city plan from political perspective. The focus for every project was paid on how citizens are participating in the projects and how these projects are affecting people’s life. -- Takashi Mino, Professor
